April Fun Run
On Saturday, 11 April, our Fun Run is headed to Westcliffe, CO and the Colorado Byways Photo Exhibit. The exhibit, located at the 3rd St Gallery, 59000 Hwy 69, Westcliffe (https://www.sangresartguild.org), showcases Colorado’s 26 Scenic and Historic Byways with breathtaking color photography of unique Colorado locations that unite communities and the stories of their collective past.
We will meet at Black Bear Coffee, 6550 S. Academy Blvd at 9:30 a.m., in anticipation of a 10:00 departure. Our drive will take us down Hwy 115, scene of the recent wildfire, to Penrose, Wetmore, and Westcliffe. After a drive of about 1-1/2 hours, we’ll stop for lunch at Tony’s Mountain Pizza, 630 Main St, in Silver Cliff (check out their menu at https://www.tonysmountainpizza.com), before heading to the gallery and exhibit. Our final stop of the day will be at the Beckwith Ranch Historic Site before heading home via Texas Creek and Canon City.
