DESCRIPTION:We know ya’ll are disappointed in the cancellation of our Western Slope Weekend but we’ve got a consolation prize all lined up. We’re going on another Saturday Drive. Our last one was such a success\, we decided to do it again! \nThis time\, we’re headed north through Woodland Park to Deckers and Pine Junction. It’ll be a 2-1/2 hour drive to lunch at Highside Brewing in Fairplay. They’re known for their BBQ and beer – a perfect combination. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that the weather gods smile on us so we can put our tops down and enjoy the gorgeous Colorado scenery. The American Legion is a patriotic veteran’s organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veteran’s service organization. We will be dining in the Newt Heisley Canteen as guests of the post. The menu will consist of Polynesian Chicken and dessert. The cost is $20 per person payable at the door. DESCRIPTION:It’s been a minute since we’ve done one of Tom Croak’s signature Photo-Photo-Photo rallies but we’re happy to report he’s back with a new edition. The rally is still in the planning phase but here’s how it works: he provides a picture of a Colorado/Colorado Springs landmark (no words just the picture); you find the landmark and take its picture; the member who finds the most landmarks wins a Tom Croak original photo. We’ll meet after the rally for lunch and to compare notes and/or commiserate with each other. See? Easy\, peasy.
